Bordertown SA 7/6/12 to 9/6/12

We have just been to Bordertown.  It's main claim to fame is that Bob Hawke was born there and lived there until the age of 7. It also has the only known colony of white kangaroos. We only stopped for 2 nights and it was nice to just do nothing for a while and being able to relax. We did go and visit the nearby town of Mundulla, that had a fantastic park for the boys to go wild in.  They loved the slide. We decided to have a pub lunch in the very old Mundulla Hotel (built in 1884). Meal was okay - pub lovely and we were seated right by the fire.

Very cold whilst doing the blog

All the kids playing on the giant slide

Bob Hawke's house; now the local centrelink. There's probably a pun there somewhere.

White kangaroos Yes, yes there are some brown ones there too.

The old gaol now converted to the male toilets

The old police station is now inside the bakery
